To review requests for support via the JAAR Helpline and email to assess suitability to the service and either offer JAAR counselling services or direct to more suitable services.
To develop the counselling database to inform demand and capacity, waiting times and activity.
To develop partnerships with other agencies in particular the SARC and ISVA services and to develop/promote care pathways into and out of JAAR services.
To develop and maintain organisational and managerial skills relevant to the service facilitating a satisfactory interface with JAAR and all criminal justice agencies, SARC, health services and statutory and voluntary services.
To provide specialist counselling services in relation to sexual violence.
To select appropriate therapeutic interventions.
