About workplace safety plans​

The Government of Jersey requires all businesses to put in place workplace plans to ensure safe working practices during the pandemic

It's a mandatory requirement for each Government Department to complete this workplace safety plan before recalling employees to the workplace. Director Generals must nominate a manager to complete this on their behalf for each workplace within their department.

The plan documents the actions being taken to reduce the risks as far as reasonably practicable to you and your colleagues whilst at work during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also makes sure colleagues know exactly what to do and what is expected of them in their specific workplace.

We've also produced a welcome back pack (PDF) for colleagues returning to the workplace which contains information about what to expect and what assistance is available.  

Raising concerns

Employees who have concerns about returning to the workplace, should in the first instance discuss the issue with their manager. If issues cannot be resolved, you can seek advice by contacting your department's health and safety advisor as shown below.
