The Parish of St Peter Rates List is available for inspection from 20 May 2024 until 31 May 2024 from:

  • the Parish website using the 3 part code on the paper Notice of Assessment or access from your digital notice
  • the Parish Hall

You can call +44 (0) 1534 481236 for further information.

Read the Notices of Assessment carefully for information on the procedure that needs to be followed.

You can discuss any concerns with a member of the Assessment Committee by appointment only on:

  • Tuesday 4 June, 7pm to 9pm
  • Wednesday 5 June, 2pm to 4pm
  • Thursday 6 June, 2pm to 4pm

In your Notice of Assessment make note that:

  • your rates are calculated against the property you owned or occupied on 1 January of this year, and that you're liable to pay for the whole of the sum regardless of whether you moved within the year. There's no allowance for apportionment of the account within the Law
  • all properties rented furnished are charged entirely to the Foncier (owner)
  • the rate for all properties, whether occupied or not, is charged for the whole year
  • the number of quarters shown on the notice will only represent a monetary value once the rate per quarter has been agreed at the Assembly. The assembly will be held at the Parish Hall on Thursday 6 July at 7pm.

If you might struggle to pay the full amount when you receive the demand in July, contact the Parish Hall as soon as possible to discuss arranging regular weekly or monthly payments. This will prevent additional charges being added to your account due to a late payment surcharge or petty debt costs.

We accept payment for Parish Rates through:

  • Citypay Online
  • BACS
  • Standing Order, payable weekly or monthly
  • Debit or Credit Card
  • Cheque
  • Cash

Contact the Parish Hall if you have any further queries.
