Bring you photographic identification when voting as this may be requested before you are allowed to vote.

In accordance with Article 22 of the Public Elections (Jersey) Law 2002, Electors are hereby notified that the following elections will be held on Wednesday 16 May 2018 for an election for:

  • eight persons to fill the office of Senator
  • one persons to fill the office of Connétable
  • one person to fill the office of Deputy in each of the constituencies of:
    • St John
    • St Mary
    • St Ouen
    • St Peter
    • St Saviour number three
    • Trinity
  • two person to fill the office of Deputy in each of the constituencies of:
    • St Brelade number two
    • St Clement
    • St Lawrence
    • St Saviour number one
    • St Saviour number two
  • three persons to fill the office of Deputy in each of the constituencies of:
    • St Helier number one
    • St Helier number two
  • four persons to fill the office of Deputy in the constituency of St Helier number three

Pre-poll voting

If you registered by 12pm on Monday 9 April 2018 you may vote before election day by pre-poll.

Weekday pre-poll

  • St Paul's Centre, Dumaresq Street, St Helier:
    • 8.30am to 5.15pm, Monday to Friday from Monday 30 April to Friday 11 May 2018
    • 8.30am to 2pm, Monday 14 May 2018
    • Closed Bank Holiday Monday 7 May 2018 and Liberation Day Wednesday 9 May 2018

Weekend pre-poll

  • Trinity Youth Centre: 10am to 1pm, Saturday 5 May 2018
  • Communicare, St Brelade: 10am to 1pm Saturday 12 May 2018

You must apply in writing to the Judicial Greffe. Application forms are available from:

Postal voting

If registered to vote by 12pm on Monday 9 April 2018, you will be able to vote by post if:

  • you will be out of the Island during the hours of polling, or
  • you have registered to vote, but your name and address have been deliberately omitted from the electoral register because there is a risk or threat of harm to you

You must apply in writing by Tuesday 8 May 2018 to the Judicial Greffe for a postal vote and then return your postal voting ballot envelope to the Judicial Greffe, Royal Court House, Royal Square, St Helier, Jersey, JE1 1JG by no later than 12pm Wednesday 16 May 2018.

Voting on polling day

Polling stations will be open on Wednesday 16 May 2018 from 8am to 8pm, details below. If you are registered to vote in St Brelade, St Helier or St Saviour you are to vote at the Polling Station for the District in which you are registered. Contact your Parish for advice or refer to vote.je if you are unsure which Polling Station to attend.

If on the day you are confined to your home owing to illness or disability, and you wish to have your vote recorded. Notify the Autorisé or Adjoint at your Parish Hall by 12pm, if possible, but no later than 5pm on Wednesday 16 May 2018

Parish offices' opening hours on polling day

On Wednesday 16 May 2018 only St Brelade will be open for business, from 9am to 2pm and 4pm to 5pm.

On Thursday 17 May only St Martin will be open for business (from 2pm to 4.30pm) and St Saviour (from 11am to 4pm).

Parish of St Brelade

Electors are to vote at the polling station for the address at which they are registered in either District one or District two, see below.

District one

Electors of the Vingtaine de Noirmont and the Vingtaine du Coin (District one) are to vote at the Parish Hall, St Aubin in the election for Senators.

District two:

Electors of the Vingtaine des Quennevais and the Vingtaine de la Moye (District two) are to vote at Communicare Centre, Les Quennevais in the election for Senators and the election for Deputy (District two).
