A service and re-enactment to mark the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of Jersey will be held in Liberation Square, St Helier at 11am on Monday 9 May 2016. Free reserved seating (which must be occupied no later than 10.30am) is available and will be allocated by the Parishes to Parish Senior Citizens and their immediate and extend families who were:
- resident in Jersey during the Occupation
- evacuated during the war
- serving in the forces at that time
These tickets can accommodate wheelchairs.
Applications should be made to your Parish Hall by no later than Friday 22 April 2016 so that tickets may be allocated. Unaccompanied senior citizens who require assistance with transport should also contact their Parish Hall by Friday 22 April 2016 so appropriate arrangements may be made.
Islanders who do not fail into the above category and who wish to attend this event can collect tickets for free seating from the Bailiff's Chambers, Royal Court House, Royal Square. These tickets will be available from Monday 4 April 2016.
