A service and re-enactment to mark the 71st anniversary of the Liberation of Jersey will be held in Liberation Square, St Helier, at 11:00 on Monday 9 May 2016.
Free reserved seating is available and will be allocated by the Parishes to Parish Senior Citizens and their immediate and extended families. These tickets can accommodate wheelchairs.
Free reserved seating must be occupied no later than 10:30.
Free reserved seating is available to those Senior Citizens who were resident in Jersey during the Occupation, those evacuated or those serving in the forces at that time.
Islanders who do not fall into the above category and who wish to attend this event can collect tickets for free seating from the Bailiff's Chambers, Royal Court House, Royal Square. These tickets will be available from Monday 4 April 2016.
How to apply
Applications should be made to your Parish Hall by no later than Friday 22 April 2016 so that tickets may be allocated.
Unaccompanied senior citizens who require assistance with transport should also contact their Parish Hall by Friday 22 April 2016 so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
