St Lawrence tender for road sweeping contract

The Parish of St Lawrence Roads Committee invites tenders for the Parish Road Sweeping contract to commence on 1 October 2023 to 30 September 2026. 

The successful contractor will provide a timely road sweeping service ensuring that all Parish by-roads are cleaned to a consistent high standard in the months of:

• January
• February
• March
• October
• November
• December
  

Note that ad hoc sweeps may be requested at any time.

Additionally, the successful contractor must:

• carry £10,000,000 public liability insurance at all times
• provide by email to the Parish Office with written confirmation of completed work and the names of swept roads within 48 hours of completion
• ensure their staff are properly trained and equipped with the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• provide the service in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by the contractor
• arrange to clean La Ruette d’Avranches by hand
• provide a minimum of 48 hours advance notice through Trafficworx of any requirements for Parish by-roads to be closed for sweeping
• ensure that instructions given by, or on behalf of, the Connétable are undertaken in a polite and professional manner
• dispose of any waste in an appropriate place and in a safe manner
• ensure that their staff and any subcontractors comply with the above requirements at all times

• proof of Public Liability Insurance
• a breakdown of proposed fee, including the hourly rate and disposal costs
