Due to Bank Holidays next week the Office of the Superintendent Registrar will be closed on Monday 7th May and Wednesday 9th May (Liberation Day).

Responsibilities of the Superintendent Registrar of Jersey

We hold records of all births, adoptions, deaths and marriages in Jersey from 1842 to the present day and all civil partnerships in Jersey from 2012 to the present day.

We're also responsible for:

All registrations of birth and death in Jersey are carried out by the Parish Registrar in the parish in which they occurred. However, the Superintendent Registrar is responsible for overseeing all re-registrations of birth and corrections of any registration on the Island.

If you wish to register your child's birth, you should contact the Registrar of the parish in which your baby was born.
