The Tobacco Duty (Cultivation of Tobacco) (Jersey) Regulations, 1973 states that:

Except under and in accordance with the provisions of a licence granted by or on behalf of the Committee, no person shall –

(a) grow tobacco plants;

Can you please let me know how many licences have been granted locally, and are currently in use, for growing tobacco plants?

Please clarify the time frame that you wish the response to cover.

If there are licences, just details for the last year on that.

Numbers of licences issued, however, over the last three years.

Response

No Excise Production Licences (which includes tobacco) have been issued during the time period requested.
