Figures are not available for 1 April 2016, the current figures are below.

Offender Management Unit figures as of 2 November 2016

Registered sex offenders currently being managed in the community88
Convictions for contact offending45
Convictions for indecent images of children34
Convictions for non-contact offending6
Convictions for both IIOC and contact offending 3

32 individuals under age of 16 have been the victims of contact offending. Some registered sex offenders had multiple juvenile victims. Therefore, fewer than 32 of those currently registered committed offences against children.

Exemptions applied

Jersey is a small jurisdiction. To give the ages of individual registered sex offenders may inadvertently lead to their identification to the general public. The information is therefore exempt under Article 25 (2) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

Article 25 - Personal information

(1)     Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.

(2)     Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a)     it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and

(b)     its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
