I am hoping to compile statistics on how many male teachers there are compared to females in Jersey primary schools.

Primary school roleMaleFemale
Head teacher914
Deputy head teacher1210
Year one429
Year two429
Year three728
Year four1128
Year five1520
Year six1122

This data includes only those who are year/class teachers and does not include those who may teach physical education, music and art across all age groups, years and Key Stages within the primary school.

It also does not include Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinators (SENCOs), PPA teachers and those that cover year groups when required.

The data above includes all States of Jersey primary schools. The data above does not include De la Salle College, Beaulieu Convent School and FCJ.
