Ambassadorial visit costs (FOI)

Please could you supply a breakdown of all ambassadorial visits to Jersey which the States were aware of in the past 12 months, and for each provide a breakdown of the cost separately of travel, accommodation and entertainment? If some of the costs were eventually covered by external partners, please provide both the full original cost and the actual final amount payable by the States of Jersey.

Response

There have been five ambassadorial visits to Jersey in the past 12 months, namely; 

• France

• South Africa

• Switzerland

• Israel 

• Estonia

The scheduled public authority does not provide accommodation.

The visits of Switzerland and Israel were not funded by a scheduled public authority.
