Severance and redundancy packages (FOI)

Severance and redundancy packages (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 16 February 2017.

Request

Further to the recently requested information on severance and redundancy packages.

It is stated the highest pay out to a single individual during the period was £222,537. How is this squared with the information from the States Comptroller in 2012 that the former States Chief Officer Bill Ogley was paid £546,337 in 2011?

Response

Both figures are correct.

The highest pay out to someone who successfully applied for severance or redundancy was as specified - £222,537.

The payment to the former States Chief Officer was a contractual payment to which he was entitled and does not relate to severance or redundancy
