I would like to know many children from Jersey families are currently fostered in the UK, and have been in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

B

I would also like to know how many children are currently fostered in Jersey and how many have been in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

C

Finally I would like to know if Jersey children are fostered in countries other than the UK.

To protect the identity of individuals, exact figures are not provided where the number is below five.

A

2010 to 2012: Fewer than five

2013: Six

2014: Six

2015: Nine

2016: Nine

B

2010: Approximately 33

2011: Approximately 42

2012: No statistics available due to change in recording system.

2013: 37

2014: 45

2015: 53

2016: 39

C

There are fewer than five children currently fostered in countries other than the UK.

Article 25 - Personal information

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
