Food Security Strategy report (FOI)

Request

A new draft food strategy was not included with the Rural Economy Strategy. When I requested sight of the draft report that was with the Council of Ministers (mentioned in the new RES), I was given a document that dated back to 2012 and is hopelessly out of date it mentions Huelin Renouf, Co-Op Warehousing (now closed) etc.

Is there any new draft food security document either being prepared or prepared with the Council of Ministers?

When will the public see a new food security strategy document?

Priority recommendations in the 2012 draft Food Security Strategy have been included within policies in the current Rural Economy Strategy 2017 to 2021.

There is no intention to draft a new Food Security Strategy. The current draft strategy will be updated later this year to be used as a reference document.
