Road traffic accidents on Mont Fallu (FOI)

Road traffic accidents on Mont Fallu (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 19 May 2017.

Request

How many road traffic accidents have occurred in the past five years on Mont Fallu involving commercial vehicles related to WP recycling or Skinners skips?

Response

There have been 35 Road Traffic Collisions (RTCs) recorded by police on this road since January 2012.

Only one of these RTCs involved a vehicle from the above company. The individual report indicates a Land rover travelling down the hill, in wet weather, skidded into the commercial vehicle. A number of other commercial vehicles (four) have been involved in minor RTC’s in this area due to the narrowing of the road although the vast majority of vehicles involved are saloon motor vehicles or motor cycles.

There is no evidence to suggest any particular companies vehicles are involved in a majority or disproportionate number of RTCs.
