Workforce modernisation (FOI)

Workforce modernisation (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 15 August 2017.

Request

As part of the current work force modernisation program a process of job evaluation has taken place using Job Infomation Templates. As referenced here: https://www.gov.je/working/workingforthestates/workforcemodernisation/pages/aboutjobevaluation.aspx

Please can you supply a list of all jobs that have been evaluated as part of this process including:

  • the job title
  • the existing pay grade for that job
  • the final JIT "score" that has been determined for that job

Response

Given that the employer and its recognised trade unions are in the midst of negotiations on workforce modernisation in which the data requested is core, exemptions under article 35 and 39 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 are exercised . On completion of the process we will publish the bands, jobs within bands and the salary range for each band, in line with current practice.

Articles and exemptions applied

Article 35 Formulation and development of policies

Information is qualified exempt information if it relates to the formulation or development of any proposed policy by a public authority.

Article 39 Employment

Information is qualified exempt information if its disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice pay or conditions negotiations that are being held between a public authority and –

(a) an employee or prospective employee of the authority; or

(b) representatives of the employees of the authority.
