Arrests made by Customs Officers (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 16 August 2017.

I would like to know how many arrests made by Customs officers were the result of a tipoff since 2012?

I would also like to know how many of these tipoffs came from an official body (Customs officers, police officers, airport authorities or others from foreign countries) or from individuals?

I would also like to know how the people and vehicles stopped by Customs Officers are selected.

The information requested cannot be provided.

This information is qualified exempt under Article 42 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

Application of the Public Interest Test is against disclosure on the basis of the sensitivity and ongoing nature of the situation in question.
