Please advise the total cost of the Millennium Park up to the present time; include in this figure all costs for surrounding pavements and roadways regardless where these funds came from?

When the toxic soil was sent out of the island for treatment was it transported back here?

What amount did this operation cost?

If it was returned as treated soil why did this happen?

Response

A.

The total cost to the States of Jersey for the Millennium Town Park and surrounding pavements and roadways was £11,562,402.

B.

No. The contaminated soil was exported to Europe for recovery.

C.

The States of Jersey does not hold this information however the cost of this operation was included in the contractors overall lump sum figure of £1,184,433.27 for the remediation of the site. This figure is included in the above total costs.

D.

No contaminated soil was returned to the Island.
