With regard to an Employers legal responsibility to look after an Employees health and safety at work as far as is reasonably possible.
 
Are maintenance Employees of the States of Jersey Ports and Harbours, such as painters and caretakers of our light houses etc., ever randomly tested for drugs and alcohol?

Response

There are no policies in place to enable such checks to be undertaken on States of Jersey Department for Infrastructure employees.
 
Information relating to Ports of Jersey (PoJ) staff is not held and as PoJ is not currently included under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2015, any request for information relating to their employees should be directed to them.
