Request

Since entering the States on 5 May 2000 I would like to know how many propositions Deputy Judy Martin has tabled and actually won or lost?

I would also like to know how many times this Deputy has applied for any Ministerial Position within the Council of Ministers since they moved to Ministerial Government, that have subsequently been rejected by the Assembly?

Response

According to research we have undertaken, Deputy J.A. Martin has lodged eight propositions in her own name since she was elected in 2000. Three propositions were adopted and one was partially adopted by the States Assembly. Two propositions were rejected and two were withdrawn before debate by the States Assembly. The table below lists these propositions and further information on them can be obtained by conducting a search for individual propositions at the link below:

Nominations for Ministerial positions

According to our research, Deputy Martin has been nominated three times for a ministerial position but has not been successful in any of these attempts as detailed below:

12 December 2008

The result of the first ballot was as follows:

Senator P. Routier 16 votes

As Deputy Martin received the lowest number of votes she was eliminated from the 2nd ballot.

18 November 2011

Deputy J.A. Martin was nominated for the position of Minister for Home Affairs by Senator A. Breckon.

The result of the ballot was as follows:
