I would be grateful if the following questions were answered using figures from the previous 12 months please:
How many States employees took out a grievance at work within the last year?
How many of these employees stopped working but were still paid whilst their grievance was investigated?
How much would their combined salaries be?
How many of these grievances were upheld?
How many people deal with grievances within the States?
17 grievances were raised during the period between 17 October 2016 to 17 October 2017
Two employees stopped work but were still payed whilst their grievance was investigated
The combined salary for the period of absence was £7,836.24
Of the 17 cases, three were upheld
Managers, Human Resources Business Partners and Employee Representatives deal with grievances at the informal resolution stage. If a grievance progresses to formal investigation, a Case Manager will manage the individual case and two investigating officers will be appointed to investigate the grievance. A Hearing panel will hear the grievance.
