Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 01 December 2017.

Request

I'd like to request the following pieces of information please;

A

Annual running costs for the Jersey Aircraft Register

B

Annual fees generated by the Jersey Aircraft Register

C

Total fees generated by the Jersey Aircraft Register

D

Projected fees for 2017 financial year

Response

A

For 2016 (the first full year of operation) the running costs for the Jersey Aircraft Register were of the order of £66,000. Running costs in 2017 will be significantly lower than 2016 on account of a decision taken at ministerial level to discontinue active marketing of the Jersey Aircraft Registry pending development of a revised business model.

B

The fee income generated to the end of 2016 totalled £11,789.

C

Total Jersey Aircraft Registry fee income generated to 1 September 2017 was £15,617.

D

The projected fees to the end of 2017 are not expected to be substantially different to those cited at 'C', on account of the decision taken at ministerial level to discontinue active marketing of the Jersey Aircraft Registry pending development of a revised business model.
