Curfew orders (FOI)

Curfew orders (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 03 January 2018.

Request

How many people have been spared jail by being given a curfew order instead and how many went on to break the order over the past three years?

Response

A curfew order may form part of bail conditions for a defendant awaiting trial or sentence, but is not an alternative to a jail sentence. Therefore our records show no people have been spared jail by being given a curfew order.
