Could you please provide me with the total number of electric vehicles in Jersey, broken down by;

• fully electric

• hybrid electric

The information requested is absolutely exempt under Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 as the information is accessible to the applicant by other means at the following link:

This data set is updated annually.

For clarification, in each year new vehicles refers to brand new vehicles which are registered for the first time in that year. Used vehicles refers to imported vehicles that are then re-registered in Jersey in that year, hence vehicles will not be double counted in subsequent years figures.

Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge. A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
