The States of Jersey Police have access to the UK National Referral Mechanism for any referral of consenting adults who might be victims of human trafficking, as well as any children (consent not needed). At a more local level, any children or adults who are considered to be at such a risk and in need of safeguarding would be subject of notifications to either the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH – for children) or the Single Point of Referral (SPOR – for adults), following which, strategy meetings would be held between police and safeguarding partners to identify safeguarding priorities and actions. A Sexual Assault referral Centre is also available in Jersey to provide a sensitive and effective coordinated care response to victims following a sexual assault or rape which will include the forensic collection of evidence should the victim later make a formal complaint having had opportunity to make an informed decision.

The above answers respond to the closed nature of the questions. They do not provide a full insight into the local assessment and work being done by the States of Jersey Police and partners in this area.
