Could you please tell me if there is a General Medical Council (GMC) qualified Responsible Officer over seeing General Practice in Jersey and if so, who?

Response

Dr Sarah Whiteman MBBS FRCGP DCH DIMC DipMedEd DMJ DRCOG FHEA is Jersey’s Medical Director and Responsible Officer overseeing primary care and general practice.

The role of the Responsible Officer is accredited by the GMC as a ‘Suitable Person’. This is the title they give to those in small jurisdictions/organisations.
