Please could you give me a breakdown of the average waiting times for each department at the Hospital for 2015, 2016, 2017 and so far this year.

Do any departments have set guidelines that they aim to see a patient by and if so what are they?

The table below shows the average wait in weeks for a new (first) outpatient appointment per year, per specialty:

*Where there were fewer than five appointments, data has been removed to prevent identification.

Where '-' is seen, there were no appointments in that period.

For referrals from GPs to Hospital Consultants that are deemed by the relevant consultant to be urgent, the aim is to see patients within two weeks.

For referrals from GPs to Hospital Consultants that are deemed by the relevant consultant to be required soon, the aim is to see patients within four weeks.

For referrals from GPs to Hospital Consultants that are deemed by the relevant consultant to be routine, patients are seen in in a chronological order – that is when the referral was received by the hospital.
