A

Please could you indicate how much of the States of Jersey budget, if any, is allocated for funding medical research per annum?

B

How much money, if any, has been spent by the States on medical research over the last ten years?

Please supply both a total annual amount and a breakdown of how much was contributed to each individual project.

C

If the States have funded any research (both on-island and internationally), please detail which projects it has contributed to over the last ten years.

Response

A

There is no annual budget allocation for medical research within the Health and Community Services Department.

Health and Community Services (HCSD) have not spent any money on medical research in the last ten years. Most personal research carried out is for local quality improvement projects and continuous professional development purposes and HCSD does not commission medical research.

C

HCSD have not contributed any funding to any research projects, either nationally or internationally, in the last ten years.
