Since the current Chief Minister took office, please can I have details of any letters and emails between the Chief Minister or his office and the Jersel Lifeboat Association (JLA) and visa versa?  

I appreciated that one letter was released from Senator Gorst concerning a meeting between himself and the JLA and I’m not asking for this to be re-released.

Response

A review has been undertaken by the Chief Minister’s office. One letter and related email, which have had personal information redacted in line with Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011, are attached below:

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.

(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –

(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018; and

(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
