Please could you provide me with the latest suicide statistics for Jersey on an annualised basis, from 2012 onwards? Please could you also advise what further analysis of suicide statistics is undertaken?

Response

This request is refused under Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 as the information is accessible by other means. Please see page 8 in the following link for years 2007 to 2016.

Further analysis is not carried out annually because the small numbers make conclusions weak as well as potentially leading to the identification of individuals.

1. Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.
