Please could you tell me what monitoring sensors are on the JEC chimney for both the Waste Incinerator and JEC generators?

What frequency they are tested to ensure they are operating correctly.

The States of Jersey do not hold information regarding the JEC chimney or JEC generators.

The Energy Recovery Facility (the waste incinerator) has flue gas monitoring equipment installed to analyse and report on the gases processed by the flue gas treatment plant. The flue gases are monitored for the following:

• Hydrogen Chloride
• Sulphur Dioxide
• Nitrous Oxides
• Carbon Monoxide
• Particulates
• Volatile Organic Compounds
• Carbon Dioxide
• Moisture Content

Independent analytical specialists are contracted to conduct full testing and calibration of the flue gas monitoring equipment twice per year.
