States Headquarters at Ann Court study costs (FOI)

States Headquarters at Ann Court study costs (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 14 March 2019.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

How much was spent exploring plans to turn Ann Court into a new States headquarters? Please provide a breakdown of what was spent for what purpose, along with the approximate dates of when the cost was incurred.

Response

This project did not progress to the stage where it was allocated a budget or a project manager. Consequently no specific financial code was set up for the recording of costs associated with looking into the feasibility of using the Ann Court site as the potential location of a new Government of Jersey central office.

This is not to say that there were no costs incurred at all as the work would have occurred under the umbrella of the ongoing “Office Modernisation Project”, but the costs cannot be broken out. The Jersey Property Holdings section of Growth, Housing and Environment produced a small number of freehand concept sketches for the office scheme at minimal internal cost.
