Kindly provide the following vehicle statistics as at 31 December for years 2016, 2017 and 2018:

A

Number of purely electric cars registered (exclude Hybrid, Plug-in-Hybrid (PHEV), construction vehicles, motorcycles).

B

Number of Plug-in-Hybrid (PHEV) cars registered (exclude pure electric vehicles, construction vehicles, motorcycles).

C

Number of Petrol cars registered (exclude PHEV, pure electric vehicles, construction vehicles, motorcycles)

D

Number of Diesel Cars registered (exclude PHEV, pure electric vehicles, construction vehicles, motorcycles)

The following figures show the number of electric cars registered as at 31 December 2018

2016 = 140

2017 = 183

2018 = 298

B

We register both hybrid and plug-in-hybrid (PHEV) vehicles as hybrid on our records, therefore, we can only provide the following combined figures as at 31 December 2018

2016 = 439

2017 = 589

2018 = 744

C and D

Our systems do not allow us to carry out date criteria searches for petrol and diesel vehicles. However, as of the 7 March 2019, the following petrol and diesel cars were registered.

Petrol = 57,704

Diesel = 16,824
