Response

The annual cost, rounded to the nearest thousand, of reimbursing LibertyBus for the journeys recorded against concessionary travel passes is set out below.

Year

Concession

AvanchiAccess

2013£574,000
2014£630,000
2015£675,000
2016£720,000
2017£735,000 £80,000
2018£750,000£125,000
2019£800,000£172,000

The figures for concession passes include a small proportion of persons aged under 65. It is not possible to accurately disaggregate this cost.

The figures for AvanchiAccess, the pilot travel pass scheme launched in 2017 for persons with a prescribed disability, are shown for completeness. The figures for 2019 are a forecast based on previous years’ trends.
