Please can you provide a report of the number of registered cars and vans between specific dates?

Please use data using the following fuel type criteria as per the EU emission standards:

  • diesel cars and vans registered between September 2015 to date

  • diesel cars and vans registered between January 2011 and September 2015

  • diesel cars and vans registered between January 2006 and January 2011

  • diesel cars and vans registered between January 2001 and January 2006

  • diesel cars and vans registered between October 1997 and January 2001

  • diesel cars and vans registered between October 1994 and October 1997

  • diesel cars and vans registered prior to October 1994

  • petrol cars and vans registered between September 2015 to today

  • petrol cars and vans registered between January 2011 and September 2015

  • petrol cars and vans registered between January 2006 and January 2011

  • petrol cars and vans registered between January 2001 and January 2006

Please note that the information was extracted from our vehicles register on 15 May 2019. However the number of vehicles shown on the register does not reflect the actual number of vehicles in Jersey. Despite it being a legal requirement, DVS are not always notified when vehicles are scrapped or exported.

The DVS Register is currently undergoing a data cleansing exercise to obtain a more accurate picture of the number of vehicles currently in existence. It is envisaged that it will take a number of months to complete due to the size of the project.
