The figures were taken from the most up to date headcount report when the infographic was completed which was the March 2019 Headcount. This information contained individuals pay and what supplements they are in receipt of. To get the estimated 2020 salary, every individual was assumed to receive their increment and also receive the current pay award offered of RPI + 1.3% for 2020.
The average pay quoted in the article was calculated looking at every individuals assumed salary for 2020 and calculating the mean salary of all these individuals. The information was compiled by the Reward and Employee Relations team. This does not include Head Teachers or Deputy Heads.
