Regarding the breaks in primary school:

A

How many and how long breaks will children have in Jersey primary schools during a school day?

Is there a variation in the amount of break time between schools or every school has the same amount of breaks. (Including lunch break)

Is all the break time spent playing freely outside or is there some planned activities during a break time?

B

What are the break periods based on? For example; requirement by law, studies based on educational and health benefits from certain amount of breaks, customs, or some other reason?

Response

Please note that Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) do not have structured breaks. They have continuous provision for learning through play and free access to outdoor learning throughout the day.
