Request

According to the JEC, the Government of Jersey will shortly be releasing guidelines relating to Electric Scooter use in Jersey.

I would like to know the following:

A

Which department is responsible for producing these guidelines?

B

Has anyone within this department and specifically with responsibility for producing these guidelines, actually experienced riding an Electric Scooter in the past 12 months?

C

If no to question 2, why have they not experienced this?

D

Please release all emails from gov.je email addresses containing the key term / search phrase “electric scooter” or “electric scooters”.

E

When will these guidelines be released?

Response

A

This work will be carried out by Growth Housing and Environment in consultation with other States Departments and Parishes as necessary.

B

This information is not held.

C

This information is not held.

D

With over 6,000 staff employed by the Government of Jersey the question as it stands is too broad and would take in excess of the 12.5 working hour limit allowed for Freedom of Information responses.

E

This information is not held at this time.

Article applied

Article 16 A scheduled public authority may refuse to supply information if cost excessive

(1) A scheduled public authority that has been requested to supply information may refuse to supply the information if it estimates that the cost of doing so would exceed an amount determined in the manner prescribed by Regulations.

Regulation 2 (1) of the Freedom of Information (Costs) (Jersey) Regulations 2014 allows an authority to refuse a request for information where the estimated cost of dealing with the request would exceed the specified amount of the cost limit of £500. This is the estimated cost of one person spending 12.5 working hours in determining whether the department holds the information, locating, retrieving and extracting the information.
