Insurance claims in schools (FOI)

In the last four financial years, (1 Apr 2015 – 31 March 2016, 1 April 2016 – 31 March 2017, 1 Apr 2017 – 31 March 2018, 1 April 2018 – 31 March 2019) how much money was paid to students who attend or attended States schools, as compensation for personal injuries or property damage? Note: I am interested in monies paid out in the last four financial years regardless of when the incident took place or when the claim was lodged. Please also provide detail of any injury or damage caused by another student or member of staff.

How many individual claims did this represent? Please provide a breakdown of primary and secondary schools.

For all payments in excess of £2,000 please state the amount of compensation and where possible a brief description of the nature of the claim, e.g. Fall from climbing frame (£2,100), Fingers trapped in door (£3,150). Please provide date of incident where available.
