Request

Could Jersey Property Holdings confirm the names of the properties that the freeholders have made payments to the Government of Jersey for encroachments onto the foreshore since 1st January 2018 and the amount of payment for each case?

Response

There has only been one contract since 1 January 2018 where a payment was made for a foreshore encroachment. This occurred after the public was approached by the owner who was planning to redevelop the property. There was a contract of Sale, Cession and Transfer by the Public of the Island to La Retraite de la Cotte Limited for the property known as The Beach House, Ouaisné, St Brelade. The payment was for £15,750 including GST.
