Request

Could I please have the number of cases where the employer (Government of Jersey) has taken out a grievance against an employee between 2007 to 2019. I would like this information for all departments, please list department, along with the number of grievances for each year.

Response

The Government of Jersey Grievance Policy does not allow for the employer raising a grievance against an employee.

Where a manager within the Government of Jersey has issues over behaviour or performance of a member of their staff, they would refer to the disciplinary policy, this would not be raised as a grievance.

Disciplinary actions are managed by each department and a central record of these actions is not maintained.
