The total cost as one figure for the last 12 months of all the communication teams employed by the Government of Jersey from January 2019 to January 2020.

Response

The total staff cost of the centralised Communications and Marketing Function for the period 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019 was £1.931m.*

The Function covers a range of teams with different roles which include; Media and Stakeholder, Internal Communications and Change, and Marketing, Design & Digital (this was previously provided through external agencies).

*For clarity, this figure excludes non-pay costs and income as the question requests information for “cost of teams employed” only.
