Request
Please provide me with confirmation of any insurance policy that the Government of Jersey, Jersey Telecom or Digital Jersey hold for liability resulting from any harm, immobility or death of any persons as a direct result of 3G, 4G or 5G technology.
Response
The Government of Jersey holds appropriate Public and Employer’s liability insurance that would provide for any sum which the employer may be legally liable to pay to any employees in respect of injury, disease, illness or death caused during employment in the business of the insured.
We also hold a separate Group Personal Accident policy insurance policy which covers the expenses and compensates employees for any injury sustained. Benefits includes accidental death and medical expenses arising out of accidents, subject to exclusions. There is an exclusion regarding Electro-magnetic Fields which has an upper limit.
In addition, the government have public liability insurance that covers alleged claims for damage caused by electromagnetic fields. There is a limit on the policy cover of £5m.
