Internal Review Request

Thank you for the response to my FOI request.

Whilst I understand that you / the relevant department may not have the information requested back to 2010, I am sure they must have had the information for some years prior to the information supplied (1 March 2019 to 1 Marcch 2020). Surely, they are obligated to keep this information further back than 16 month?

Please can that be looked at it again and also, can the response to question B for the year 1 March 2019 to 28 February 2020 and for the period 1 March 2020 to date be checked and confirmed? It doesn’t seem correct to me.

Response

Time periods for the retention of data are based on departmental need or legal obligation. There is no legal obligation to maintain this data beyond the current registration period, nor any benefit to the department in keeping this data longer than as stated in the Retention Schedule (12 months).

The data provided in response B has been rechecked and found to be accurate.

The internal review therefore maintains the original response.
