Can you please advise how many ordinary resident Taxpayers declared rental income for Second Homes or Buy to Lets for the year ended 2018?

Response

Revenue Jersey data indicates that in respect of the 2018 year of assessment, 5,966 Jersey resident taxpayers declared rental income on their personal income tax return.

A taxpayer may be an individual or a married couple/civil partnership – and in each case is only counted once.

It is not possible to identify from information held whether the rental property is a second home or a buy to let.
