Request

Jersey Water’s own figure reveal the presence of PFAS in the Island’s public water supply at levels which the EU now considers hazardous to the health of the average adult consuming the recommended amount of water.

Research commissioned by the EU has identified that the major impact of PFAS in the human body is its impact upon the immune system leading to reduced vaccine efficacy.

Considering this winter’s influenza vaccine programme, together with the hoped for Covid-19 vaccines, what steps have been discussed, and what actions agreed, within the Government of Jersey to understand and ameliorate this reduced vaccine efficacy?
