Request
My question concerns the development of IT for the Health Service in general, but especially in light of the Jersey Care Model. Can you please tell me:
A
How the IT is being developed? For example, what services will be updated in what phases and dates and so on?
B
Who has been chosen as the development partner on this project? If more than one, please state who and at what cost?
Response
A
The IT is being developed according to the requirements of the published Digital Health and Care Strategy. The outline plan includes:
the development of a Primary Care Integration service to Secondary Care and to introduce a Radiology GP Order Communications system (completing November 2020). Further, to introduce a GP Order Communications to Pathology system (expected Q1 2021).
later phases include replacements for a Radiology – Picture Archive Communication system with Vendor Neutral Archive solution (planned for 2021), and a replacement hospital Electronic Patient Record (expected completion date by July 2022).
B
There are currently no development partners involved, with the work carried out by Government teams along with the software suppliers. This model is expected to be used throughout the plan.
