Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 07 December 2020.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

Please provide documentation relating to the Planning Obligation on Field 578, Rue es Picots, La Grande Clos, Trinity.

Please provide all correspondence on the Planning Obligation in relation to field 578 and details of the removal of the planning obligations on the development (including GoJ and Parish of Trinity).

Response

The Planning obligation agreement is linked to Planning application P/2011/0618. The approved application was for the construction of 39 First Time Buyer homes and 4 Social Rented homes on field 578.

The planning file has been weeded and any non-essential correspondence has been destroyed in accordance with our retention schedule. Other than the key documents relating to the application, ie the application form, plans, officer report, planning obligation agreement, and so on, no general correspondence is held.

The Planning Obligation Agreement (POA) was signed 5 December 2012 to ensure the following:

  • tenure and split of the housing units

  • offsite high works

  • improvement to foul sewer infrastructure

A link to the POA can be found on the www.Gov.je website via link below:

Planning Obligation Agreement

There was a revised planning application (RP/2013/1681) which sought to construct five over 55 bungalows in place of the four social rented homes. Details of all planning applications can be found on the planning application register on www.gov.je. There was no second POA to reflect this change in type / tenure.
