How many companies claiming payroll co-funding have experienced a detriment level of over 50%

Response

Complete data on the detriment experienced by businesses claiming support from the Co-Funded Payroll Scheme is only available for claims made in respect of September and October. These claims were submitted in October and November respectively. 

Figures for September are as follows: 

A total of 669 out of 1,423 (47%) businesses were suffering a detriment equivalent to 51% or more. This data includes all claims that were made, including those that do not comply with the rules of Scheme.

The figures for successful claims that resulted in a payment show that 602 out of 1,266 (48%) of businesses were suffering a detriment equivalent to 51% or more. 

Figures for October are as follows: 

A total of 604 out of 1,266 (48%) businesses were suffering a detriment equivalent to 51% or more. This data includes all claims that were made, including those that do not comply with the rules of Scheme.

The figures for successful claims that resulted in a payment show that 564 out of 1,161 (49%) of businesses were suffering a detriment equivalent to 51% or more.
